Music, books and grrrreeeeen things

Miulla on ollut hurjan kiva päivä tänään, kesäinen ja aurinkoinen fiilis. :) Olen vain hymyillyt itsekseni pitkin päivää, naureskellut välillä radiolle, ja ihan muuten vaan nauttinut elämästä. Jätin sukkahousut ensimmäistä kertaa laatikkoon, ja lähdin töihin paljaat varpaat lempiballerinoissani. Olenkin nyt käyttänyt niitä niin ahkerasti, että on pakko antaa niiden vähän tuulettua...*köhlemujalatköh*

Äiti sponsoroi miulle vähän käteistä tuolla kotoilureissulla, ja kun veljeni kysyi löytyykö miun kirjahyllystä Jään ja Tulen Laulu -sarjaa, ja kielteisen vastauksen saatuaan etsi valmiiksi mistä sarja kannattaa ostaa, niin sain sitten viimein hankittua sen omaan hyllyyni. :) Ostin kirjat englanninkielisinä pokkareina, sillä ne olivat huomattavasti halvempi settinä kun taas erikseen suomenkielisinä ostettuna. Nyt pitääkin sitten ahkerasti lueskella tuo ensimmäinen kirja läpi, niin pääsee velikin aloittamaan. Sen jälkeen kirjat varmaan kiertävätkin vielä äitille, ja kun olemme kaikki (iskää myöten) katsoneet myös Game of Thronesia, niin George R. R. Martinin fantasiamaailma onkin jo ilahduttanut koko perhettä. :) Tykkäilen hurjasti fantasiakirjoista, mutta viime vuosina kirjojen ostelu on ollut itselläni melko olematonta, ja varastoni onkin kerääntynyt lähinnä muinoin Kauhavan Infon alelaarista. :P Lupasin tosin lukevani tänä vuonna enemmän Prattchettia, ja olenkin lueskellut itseltäni jo ennestään löytyvät 3 suomenkielistä pokkaria. :)

Eilen taasen käväisin töiden jälkeen kaupungilla, kun olin viimein muistanut ottaa rannekelloni mukaan, jotta sain vaihdatettua siihen uuden patterin. Työtilassani ei ole kelloa, joten olen kanniskellut kännykkää jatkuvasti mukanani, ja saanut siitä hieman piruilua. Totesin myöskin, että ilmastoinnin hurina ja melko yksitoikkoinen paperienpyörittely eivät ehkä pitemmän päälle ole kauhean innostavia, joten kävin myös Clas Ohlsonilla tutkailemassa radiovaihtoehtoja, ja päädyin sitten ostamaan soman mustan 'mölytoosan' ilokseni. Kyseinen kapistus tukee myös muistitikkua/-korttia, joten jos radion tarjontaan kyllästyy, niin voikin sitten valikoida ihan omat musiikkinsa. :) Olikin varsin mukavaa kuunnella ilmastointilaitteen hurinan sijaan Yle X:ää, vaikka tuntuivatkin soittavan kaikkia inhokkibiisejäni.

Oma osuutensa päivän fiilikseen on ehkä sillä, että miulla taitaa olla kehkeytymässä jonkinasteinen ulkonäköihastus paria työpaikan nuortamiestä kohtaan. ;) Kummankaan kanssa en ole kerinnyt vielä tervehdystä kummempaa keskustelua saada aikaan, mutta varsin mukavaahan tuo on, kun ei sentään täysin ole naispuolisia työkavereita. Taidan tosin potea jonkinasteista sosiaalisten tilanteiden kammoa, sillä kenen tahansa kanssa juttelu tuolla työpaikalla tuntuu ujostuttavan ja huomaan poskiani kuumottavan hyvin nopeasti. En myöskään ole koskaan ollut mitenkään taitava smalltalkissa, joten välillä on melkoisen hölmö olo. :P

Ostin tänään parvekkeelle muiden vihreiden lisäksi minitomaatin, parveketomaatin, sekä kuukausimansikoiden taimet. :) Salaatit alkavatkin olla kohta syöntikunnossa!

Parvekkeelle oli muuten tässä männä viikolla ehtinyt iskeä siivekkäitä terroristeja ohransiementen kimppuun. Lätkin niitä tuossa toukokuun alussa matalalle lautaselle rottia varten, mutta eivät sitten koskaan kasvaneet.

Mutta iiks, kello on nyt vyörynyt jo yli nukkumaanmenoaikani, ja silmiäkin painaa jo kiitettävästi, joten suunta kohti petiä. Huomenna onkin jo onneksi perjantai! :)

I've had a really good day today - like the weather, I've also felt sunny and warm inside. :) I've been smiling to myself, laughing at the radio, and just generally enjoyed life. I skipped on wearing pantyhose today and headed off with my bare toes stuffed in my favourite ballerinas - which I've been clearly wearing too much, cause they stink! Phee-eww! :D

Mom gave me some cash when I visited them last weekend, and when my brother asked me if I happen to have the Song of Fire and Ice -books (I didn't) and then told me where I could buy them for a reasonable price, I finally went and bought the set. :) I've been meaning to get them for a while now, but meh, I mean to do a lot of things and never actually get around to doing them....xP I bought the books in English, since they were noticeably cheaper that way than buying them individually in Finnish. I'll need to start working on the first novel right away, since my brother also wants to read them, and I think my mom might give them a go as well. I think it's really cool that since we've all watched Game of Thrones (my dad too), the world George R. R. Martin created has brough a lot of fun for the whole family. :D I love fantasy, and I do have a small collection of my favourite novels, but I haven't really bought any books in the past few years. The ones I have are mainly from a discount shelf from a bookstore back home several years ago, that particular store was my main source for reading material several years ago. :) I've also kept my promise of reading more Terry Prattchett novels this year, with going through the few paperbacks I already had in my shelf.

Yesterday I finally remembered to take my watch to get the battery switched out, and now I no longer need to carry my cellphone around all day at work. There's no clock in the room I spend my days in, and since the airconditioning makes a really annoying and quite loud humming, I also bough a cute black portable radio. It also has a usb&memory stick slots, so if I get bored with the radio (which I'm sure I will) I can just bring my own music with me.

I think part of the reason I've been so happy today is the teeny weeny budding crush I have on the appearance of two young fellows at work. ;) I've yet to actually have a conversation with either, but I'm liking the fact that it's not all women there. Although it seems I have some sort of social anxiety issues, since talking to anyone makes me feel awkward and my cheeks start burning, I'm hoping I don't resemble a firetruck while actually trying to have a conversation with someone. I'm not very good at smalltalk and generally have no problem with silence, so I feel pretty stupid every now and then...:P

Ooh, I bought a couple new plants today, two different tomatoplants and two tiny strawberrybushes. My lettuces are starting to be almost ready to eat! It seems there were some attacks from winged terrorists last week: I had put some barley seeds on a plate to grow for the rats, but the seeds never grew.

Eep, it's past my bedtime! Thank Goth It's Friday tomorrow.
